Description
Murukku – Any Indian festival is incomplete without murukku. Murukku is a savoury, crunchy snack originated from South India, especially from Tamil Nadu. The term murukku is derived from Tamil language and it roughly means “to twist”. The murukku then traveled to various other South Indian states and to various global destinations.
It is made from rice flour, urad dal flour and seasoned with salt as well as some select spices. The flour is then kneaded and shaped into concentric circles and they are deep fried.
Ingredients : Rice flour, Urad dal flour, gram flour, Cumin seeds/Sesame seeds, Salt, Vegetable oil.
